Carol

Eva Tamargo was born in Brooklyn, NY to Cuban born parents. Her family moved to Miami when she was a teenager, but she would return to New York to begin a career in acting that has lasted decades. After cutting her teeth on the stages of New York she inevitably moved into the world of film and TV, appearing in numerous projects that included not only TV commercials and films but also telenovelas, as she is completely fluent in Spanish.

However, things changed dramatically when she landed the starring role of Pilar Lopez Fitzgerald on the NBC mega hit show "Passions." In short order, her work on the immensely popular show would serve to open even more doors for her. She managed to squeeze in appearances as host of the Spanish speaking version of “The Bachelorette” for Telemundo, as well as another starring role on the USA network’s "Saints and Sinners."

Tamargo has remained a relative fixture on screens throughout the world ever since with a varied body of work including appearances in films such as Any Given Sunday to commercial campaigns for products such as the pharmaceutical drug XARELTO. She spent six seasons as Celine on the Tyler Perry hit show “The Have’s and the Have Nots” and most recently has starred as Sharon Cruz on the ABC show “Rebel” as the wife of Oscar nominated actor Andy Garcia.
