With her 50th birthday a week away, Mindy (Hatcher), a divorced teacher, finds herself in the throes of a bonafide mid-life crisis. Her ex-husband Marc (Markinson) gets thrown into the mix at Rita’s request, adding to Mindy’s angst. Between two exes under one roof vying for her affection and trying to talk Rita out of the big 50th birthday party she’s planning, Mindy has a lot to navigate as she learns to embrace her life and discover what she truly wants as she starts the next chapter.
Perfect Harmony
Premieres Sunday, October 16 9/8c
Starring James Denton, Sherri Saum, Peter Benson, Julia Benson and Sheppard Denton
When Jack Chandeller (Denton) and Barrett Woodward’s (Saum) mutual friends Naomi (Julia Benson) and Simon (Peter Benson) are ready to tie the knot, they ask the pair to be Best Man and Maid of Honor. Barrett is a buttoned-up college professor and Jack is a laid-back former pop star who have always been like oil and water, but they agree to set aside their differences to support Naomi and Simon. At the engagement party, an impromptu duet between Barrett and Jack begins to thaw the frost between them, much to his son Teddy’s (Sheppard Denton) dismay as Barrett is his professor. Slowly, Best Man and Maid of Honor begin to change their perceptions of each other and find they may be more in tune that either of them would have imagined.
