Brett Dalton began acting after auditioning for a production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and later played the lead in My Favorite Year. After studying at University of California, Berkeley for his undergraduate degree, Dalton received a Master of Fine Arts from Yale University in 2011. After grad school, Dalton appeared in the indie dramedy, "Beside Still Waters," co-written, produced and directed by Chris Lowell.
In 2012, Dalton was cast in a starring role in the Joss Whedon-produced television series, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” as Grant Ward. This ABC series takes place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and will enter its sixth season in 2019. Dalton also voices characters in Disney’s “Milo Murphy’s Law.” Earlier this year, he starred in the Hallmark Channel Original Movie “Cooking with Love” alongside Ali Liebert.
In film, Dalton has appeared in the indie drama "Lost in Florence" (formerly The Tourist), which was his first movie lead role. He also starred in Blumhouse Pictures’ and Walden Media’s "The Resurrection of Gavin Stone" in the title role. Recently, Dalton starred in the Kickstarter-funded short film "Trust No One."
Dalton’s first professional voice and motion-capture role was as the character of Mike Munroe in "Until Dawn." Released in 2015, Until Dawn is an “action survival horror” video game developed by Supermassive Games, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 4.
Brett Dalton lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Melissa Trn, and their daughter Sylvia.
