Leah Diane Gibson grew up in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. She began dancing at the age of four, which marked the beginning of 15 years of study and performance, and carried her through numerous musical theatre performances into her early 20s.
Gibson interrupted her studies of psychology at the University of Victoria to pursue a film and television career and since then she has worked on countless television series, television movies, miniseries and feature films. Some of her most notable work includes a recurring role on “The Returned,” the critically acclaimed Carlton Cuse drama for A&E, as well as a groundbreaking recurring role in “Rogue,” DirecTV’s first scripted series that starred Thandie Newton and Marton Csokas. Gibson also recurred on the award-winning CBC series “Arctic Air” and Ron Moore’s “Caprica.” Her feature film credits include “The Twilight” saga, “Eclipse,” Zack Snyder’s “Watchmen,” “Rise of the Planet of the Apes” from 20th Century Fox and the indie darling “A Night for Dying Tigers,” which premiered at TIFF and starred Jennifer Beals, Gil Bellows and Kathleen Robertson.
