A New Jersey native, Vanessa Burghardt first made waves as “Lola,” a neurodiverse teen that strikes a friendship with a bar/bat mitzvah DJ, in Cooper Raiff’s CHA CHA REAL SMOOTH, which won the 2022 Sundance Film Festival U.S. Dramatic Audience Award and was acquired by Apple TV+ in a bidding war. In addition to Raiff, she also stars opposite Dakota Johnson, Leslie Mann, and Raúl Castillo. This was Vanessa’s first acting role and her performance garnered rave reviews.
