Emmanuelle Vaugier is a seasoned Canadian film and television actress who has appeared numerous times across a wide body of networks and studios. Known for her work in both comedy and drama, Vaugier is most recognized for her performance as Charlie Sheen’s ex-fiancée Mia on “Two and A Half Men,” as well as Detective Jessica Angell on “CSI: NY.”
Vaugier began her acting career in Vancouver in the 1990s. She starred in The WB comedy “My Guide to Becoming a Rock Star,” and then portrayed Dr. Helen Bryce, Lex Luthor’s wife, in The WB’s hit drama “Smallville.” In 2005, she was the new female superhero for the Sci Fi Channel television pilot of the comic “Painkiller Jane.” Vaugier also had a starring role in the “Masters of Horrors” series directed by John Carpenter. With guest roles in “Veronica Mars,” “Big Shots,” “Supernatural” and “The Mentalist,” Vaugier’s repertoire grew. She had recurring roles on “One Tree Hill” and “Human Target,” and was cast alongside Piper Perabo in the USA Network crime series “Covert Affairs.”
From 2010 to 2015 Vaugier portrayed The Morrigan on the innovative series “Lost Girl.” Then continuing her streak of feisty female leads, she portrayed Niko in ABC’s steamy summer soap “Mistresses.”
Vaugier’s feature film credits include Secondhand Lions with Michael Cain and Robert Duvall, 40 Days and 40 Nights, with Josh Hartnett, Darren Lynn Bousman’s Saw II and Saw IV, and Absolute Deception alongside Cuba Gooding Jr., just to name a few.
In her starring role opposite Carrie Fisher, Vaugier won a Leo Award for “It’s Christmas, Carol!” She also won best actress at the Greensville International Film Festival for her starring role in Susie’s Hope.
More recently, Vaugier starred in the movie Dying for Motherhood, had a recurring role on “Rogue” and guest starred on “Magnum P.I.” and “Supergirl.”
Off-screen, Vaugier is an avid animal lover. A project that is very close to her heart is her own 501c3 charitable foundation The Fluffball, which raises money for various animal charities through her annual cocktail event.
