David DeSanctis is an actor and advocate best known for the movie Where Hope Grows from writer/director Chris Dowling. In high school, DeSanctis co-anchored a news program and had a monthly cooking segment, which fueled his interest in acting. Since then, he has pursued acting at the professional level.
DeSanctis is an inspirational speaker for non-profits and special needs groups around the country, sharing his personal journey of living with Down Syndrome. He is presently working part time for National Down Syndrome Society based in Washington, D.C. as their Public Relations Outreach Associate. DeSanctis has been involved in the Best Buddies Program since 2009, and served on the Kentucky Commonwealth Council on Developmental Disabilities from 2016-2021.
In his spare time DeSanctis participates in the Special Olympics in multiple areas, rows with the Louisville Adaptive Rowing Team, loves a good game of tennis, and rides bikes often with his family.
