Shannon Hughes

Singer, songwriter, guitarist, producer, actress, author and poet Jewel Murray is a four-time Grammy nominee who has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide. She grew up in Homer, Alaska, and attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan, where she majored in operatic voice. Her debut album, Pieces of You, was released in 1995 and sold more than 12 million copies in the U.S. alone, and her 2015 memoir, “Never Broken,” was a New York Times bestseller.

Her professional acting career began opposite Tobey Maguire in the 1999 Ang Lee film Ride with the Devil, she starred as June Carter Cash in Lifetime’s “Ring of Fire,” and guest-starred in an episode of NBC’s “The Lyons Den.” She hosted Bravo’s competition series “Platinum Hit” and the documentary series “The Incurables,” and guest-voiced the roles of Cheshire Cat in “Dora the Explorer” and Tear Sparrow on Fox’s animated “Axe Cop.”

She has performed on-camera in numerous feature films, including: Howard Stern Birthday Bash, Valentine’s Day, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Ice Princess, Jewel: A Life Uncommon, Return to Me, The Other Sister, Phenomenon, I Shot Andy Warhol, Clueless and Crossing Guard. Her long list of performances in television series includes: “So You Think You Can Dance,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “ Being Erica,” “Men In Trees,” “Las Vegas,” “Gilmore Girls,” “Bones” and “Cold Case.” She has twice been the featured musical guest on “Saturday Night Live.”
