Few actresses have shot to instant worldwide fame for their first film, as did Bo Derek in Blake Edwards’ 10 in 1979. Derek has starred in the feature films Bolero, Tarzan the Ape Man, Tommy Boy and Ghosts Can’t Do It, with other film credits that include 5 Weddings, Malibu’s Most Wanted and A Change of Seasons.
Derek starred in the 20th Century Fox Television series “Fashion House” and the NBC series “Wind on Water,” filmed on the Big Island of Hawaii. She had recurring roles on “7th Heaven” and “Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place,” and has guest-starred in numerous series, including “CSI: Miami,” “Chuck,” “The Drew Carey Show,” “Family Law,” “Lucky” and “Still Standing.” Her made-for- television movies include “Hunt for the I-5 Killer,” “Complicated Women,” “Murder at the Cannes Film Festival” and, most recently, two of Syfy’s popular “Sharknado” movies.
