Dylan Walsh has worked nonstop since his first role, starring opposite James Earl Jones in the CBS Schoolbreak Special “Soldier Boys,” in 1987. His starring role in the 1995 film Congo brought him tremendous acclaim, but it was his starring role as Dr. Sean McNamara in Ryan Murphy’s long-running hit series “Nip/Tuck” for which he is best known.

Walsh just landed the role of Samuel Lane on the upcoming CW show "Superman & Lois.” You can also find him on CBS currently playing the Mayor of New York on "Blue Bloods." Walsh recently recurred on ABC’s "Whiskey Cavalier" and NBC’s "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit." In 2018 he played Lucy Hale’s father on the CW’s "Life Sentence" after wrapping up a four-year run starring on the CBS series "Unforgettable." Walsh’s additional television credits include starring as Officer Jim Doyle in "Brooklyn South", a recurring role on "Everwood," as well as appearances in the television movies “Final Voyage” and “More Than Meets the Eye: The Joan Brock Story.” Feature credits include Author’s Anonymous opposite Kaley Cuoco, American Fright Fest, Where the Heart Is opposite Natalie Portman and Ashley Judd, Secretariat opposite Diane Lane, The Stepfather opposite Sela Ward, The Lake House opposite Sandra Bullock, Nobody’s Fool opposite Paul Newman, Congo opposite Laura Linney, We Were Soldiers, and Just Add
Water.
