June Laporte grew up in Houston, Texas to a Canadian father and American mother. As an imaginative tomboy, she found her way into theater by age eight and performed in productions such as To Kill a Mockingbird and The Crucible at The Alley Theater in Houston. After graduating high school, Laporte starred in her first feature film Clinger, which premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2015. She then moved to New York City to study at the Atlantic Acting Conservatory. Now residing in Vancouver, BC, Laporte has appeared in Disney Channel’s “Freaky Friday,” Hallmark Channel’s hit, original primetime series “When Calls the Heart” and Lifetime’s “V.C. Andrews’ Web of Dreams,” for which she was awarded a Leo Award for Best Lead performance for a Female Television Movie.
Laporte can currently be seen starring in the feature film You Can Live Forever, that premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.
She is passionate about uplifting female and queer stories, and hopes to uplift female filmmakers whenever possible.
