Born and raised in Alabama, Rachel Hendrix is an award-winning film actress who will next be seen opposite Charlie Hunnam and Mel Gibson in the American-British action thriller film, Waldo, directed by Tim Kirkby. Hendrix was introduced to filmmaker Kris Kimlin (cinematographer of I Can Only Imagine, I Still Believe) while studying photography at the University of Montevallo. After accepting his offer for a lead role in his first short film Letting Go, Hendrix decided to pursue acting more seriously. Hendrix garnered national acclaim for her inaugural debut in the 2011 award-winning film, October Baby. The film's unique grass-roots campaign impressed Hollywood with the 2nd highest per-screen average in the box-office opening weekend. The late Roger Ebert noted that Hendrix was, “surprisingly capable in her first feature role.” Hendrix continued to appear in several television and feature films including the Netflix series “Creepshow” and “Raising Dion,” the lead role in Virginia Minnesota, as well as a supporting roles in the Hallmark movie “Christmas Wishes and Mistletoe Kisses,” Semper Fi, Shooting Heroin, Lifetime's “Nightclub Secrets,” and the short films Guest of Honor, Ballistic, and The Staying Kind. She recently finished filming a lead role in the upcoming feature Unveiled.
Rachel is also a talented artist, singer, and musician. She and her husband can be seen opposite each other in “Midway to Love” and currently reside in Atlanta, GA.
