With over 100 TV commercials and countless print ads under his belt, Ricky Schroder made his Hollywood debut at eight years old as the emotionally tortured son of a washed-up boxer in the 1979 remake of the drama "The Champ." The performance earned him a Golden Globe® for "New Star of the Year" and launched the beginning of his successful career.

Today, his credits consist of over 50 movies including, "Crimson Tide," "Pool Hall Junkies," "Black Cloud," "Across the Tracks," "The Lost Battalion," "Blood Done Sign My Name" and "Lonesome Dove," the Western co-starring Robert Duvall, Tommy Lee Jones, Anjelica Huston and Diane Lane and garnered seven Emmys®, a Peabody® and two Golden Globes®.

It also includes 250 episodes of TV series such as "Silver Spoons," "NYPD Blue," "Scrubs," "Strong Medicine," "24" and "To the Mat."

More recently in his career, Schroder added the title of writer, director and producer to his name, with his first film "Black Cloud" in 2004, an award-winning music video for Brad Paisley in 2006 and the projects "Hellhounds," "Starting Strong." His production company "Ricky Schroder Productions" (RSP) focuses on projects that stand the test of time. He has also become a trusted production partner for the US Army.

Much like his projects through RSP, Schroder has ‘stood the test of time,’ reinventing himself numerous times throughout his career and garnering various awards and nominations including a Golden Globe, Director of the Year, Best Actor, SAG Award Emmy Award and many more. With his enthusiasm and work ethic, Schroder has many more roles and projects yet to explore.
