Born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, Emmy-nominated actress Sherri Saum is best known as Lena Adams Foster in Freeform’s beloved series “The Fosters” and its hit spinoff, “Good Trouble.” Prior to that she was a series regular in season two of HBO’s critically acclaimed series, “In Treatment.” Among her many other roles, Saum has recurred as prominent characters in FX's “Rescue e,” the original “Gossip Girl,” Marvel’s “Agents OF S.H.I.E.L.D.,” The CW's “Roswell, New Mexico” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Recently, Saum recurred opposite Jessica Biel in the Peacock limited series, “Limetown” and opposite Clifford “Method Man” Smith Jr. in Starz’s “Power” spinoff, “Power Book II: Ghost.” She currently stars as Ellie Whedon in the hit Netflix series, “Locke & Key” now streaming.
Saum splits her time between New York and Los Angeles and lives with her husband, Kamar de los Reyes and twin sons. In her free time, she is an active advocate for the Kusewera foundation.
