Ione Skye may best be known for her role as Diane Court, the object of affection for John Cusack in the 1989 film “Say Anything” directed by Cameron Crowe. However, Skye began her career as a model. It was this kind of exposure that caught the eye of director Tim Hunter who cast her in her film debut “The River’s Edge,” a 1986 film alongside a young Keanu Reeves. Skye continues to have a presence in both the big screen with a co¬starring role in David Fincher’s “Zodiac” and TV as a guest star on “Private Practice” and a guest starring role in the cult favorite “Arrested Development.”
Daughter of the Scottish singer/songwriter Donovan, Skye was Born in Hertfordshire, England and raised in Connecticut, San Francisco and finally Los Angeles, where she studied acting at the Hollywood High School for the Performing Arts for a brief period of time.
Skye is married to Australian singer/songwriter Ben Lee and in December of 2008 the two wed in a traditional Hindi marriage ceremony in India. Skye is the mother of two daughters.
