Karen Pittman is an accomplished actress in television, film, and theatre. Most recently, she starred as Dr. Nya Wallace, one of the four new leads, in the “Sex and the City” reboot, “And Just Like That.” She is also known for her pivotal roles as Mia Jordan on the Apple TV+ Emmy-winning, Golden Globe and SAG-nominated series “The Morning Show;” Lisa on FX’s award-winning series “The Americans;” as Priscilla Ridley on Marvel’s “Luke Cage” on Netflix, and as Willa Hayes on the Paramount+ smash hit, “Yellowstone.”
Pittman has also starred in many feature films including the critically acclaimed Kathryn Bigelow period crime drama Detroit, in addition to Custody, The Rewrite and Begin Again. Up next, Pittman will star in two soon-to-be released feature films – Allies from director Barret O’Brien and Stephen Belber’s political drama What We Do Next alongside Corey Stoll. She has also originated many iconic American theatre roles including Jory in Ayad Akhtar’s Pulitzer Prize Winning, Tony-nominated Broadway play Disgraced, Nya Joseph in the award-winning Pipeline written by Dominique Morrisseau, and Charlotte in Claudia Rankine’s The White Card. Pittman graduated from Northwestern University Bienen School of Music with an Bachelor of Music in Voice and Opera and from NYU Tisch School of the Arts Grad Acting Program with a Master of Fine Arts in Acting.
