Rick Fox returns to star as Ian Jackson opposite Holly Robinson Peete in this, the third installment in Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ “Morning Show Mysteries” franchise. He currently co-stars as Darius Nash in OWN’s hit drama “Greenleaf.”

Rick Fox is a film and television actor, businessman, retired NBA player and esports franchise owner. He played in the NBA for the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, and played college basketball at the University of North Carolina, where his highlights included leading the Tar Heels to the Final Four in the 1991 NCAA Tournament.

In 1994, Fox appeared in the basketball film Blue Chips, and in 1996 he played the role of Terry Hastings in the Whoopi Goldberg comedy Eddie. Fox would go on to play ladies’ man Chick Deagan in the 1998 film He Got Game, directed by Spike Lee, but it was in 1997 that he received the biggest role of his early acting career, playing prison inmate Jackson Vahue on the HBO prison drama “Oz,” appearing from 1997 to 2003. In 2008, he starred opposite Angela Bassett in the Tyler Perry film Meet the Browns and played Councilman Blackmon in the 2015 indie hit Dope, written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa and produced by Forest Whitaker and Pharrell Williams.
