Drew Waters grew up in Orange, Texas, where he excelled as a high school athlete. After graduation, Drew turned down an athletic scholarship to pursue a career with the U.S. Navy, quickly rising through the ranks and becoming responsible for nearly 100 F-14 fighter jets.
As he neared the end of his military career, Drew was discovered by a modeling scout. After winning a national modeling contest, he was signed by a top agency and began a successful career in fashion, appearing in campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Prada, Structure, Versace, Hugo Boss, Chaps, Guess, and Abercrombie and Fitch. Over the course of eight years, he walked the globe's top runways and graced the covers and ad pages of "GQ," "Vogue," "Men's Fitness," and "Men's Journal." When world-renowned fashion photographer Bruce Weber discovered Drew's unique talent, he encouraged the young model to try his hand at acting.
Drew made his television debut as a recurring character on NBC's "Surface," which led to roles on such notable shows as "Chase," "Victorious," and AMC's "Breaking Bad." Drew then landed the role for which he is most recognized, Coach Wade Aikman on NBC's Emmy® Award-winning hit show "Friday Night Lights." His success on "Friday Night Lights" led to stints on other critically acclaimed shows, including "Wire in the Blood," "Breakout Kings," "Magic City," and TNT's "Major Crimes."
On the big screen, Drew has been seen in "Mad Money" alongside Diane Keaton, "Major Movie Star" starring Jessica Simpson, "Wonderful World" with Matthew Broderick, "The Hit List" with Cuba Gooding Jr., "Cowboys and Angels" with Academy Award winner James Cromwell, and "Parkland" with Paul Giamatti and Marcia Gay Harden.
Beyond the acting world, Drew has produced and starred in the films "Hiding in Plain Sight" and "Charlie: A Toy Story." His work as a producer expands to such projects as the documentary "A Tale of Two Soldiers" and "Art Junkies," a reality series he produced and directed for the BBC. Drew is also an accomplished stunt performer, appearing in Ridley Scott's "The Counselor."
Drew has recently formed a production company, Argentum Entertainment, with his business partner, Erin Bethea. Argentum Entertainment seeks to bring a new level of value to the entertainment business with a promising slate of films in the works, including "Nouvelle Vie," a love story and "Blood Bayou," a crime drama based on the novel by "USA Today" bestselling author Karen Young. Additionally, Drew has been selected to portray football legend Roger Staubach, a role he considers one of the greatest honors of his career, in a new film in development.
Drew currently hosts the hit GAC show "Celebrity Motor Homes."
